Cisco 5900 Series Embedded Services Routers

All embedded services products support Cisco Mobile Ready Net. This platform extends information sharing and collaboration to highly mobile users-even those operating in the most severe and remote locations.
The Cisco 5915 Embedded Services Router (ESR) extends IP network routing and services to stationary and mobile network nodes across wired and wireless links to solve size, weight, and power challenges in harsh environments. It provides mobile connectivity in heavy industrial, public safety, transportation, and defense applications.
The Cisco 5921 ESR is a software-based router application designed to operate on small, low-power, Linux-based handheld or mobile devices. It provides highly secure, reliable networking capabilities. In apps where equipment size, weight, and power consumption are critical, the 5921 can deliver multiple apps and robust communications.
The Cisco 5940 ESR is a plug-and-play, high-performance PCI router card. It is available in air- and conduction-cooled models. Use it to establish a scalable mobile network in vehicles and more securely extend first-responder vehicles, armored vehicles, and passenger and freight rail trains.
Switches
Cisco Embedded Service 2020 Series Switches can collect data from remote locations for real-time analysis by experts located at a remote site, where the environment may be harsh or at a headquarters. They can also help monitor the transit of vehicles and equipment to remote sites. Connected sensors can monitor the condition of the vehicles, cargo, or crew, and convey this information to remote data centers or to other vehicles.
